Hermes International

Hermès International is a Paris-based luxury fashion and accessories company. Its roots go back to a harness workshop founded in 1837. Its shares trade on Euronext Paris under the ticker RMS, and control of the company rests with members of the founding family.

A significant part of its income comes from leather bags, known for models such as the Birkin and the Kelly, and from saddlery and leather goods. Ready-to-wear and accessories, silk scarves and textiles, perfume and beauty, watches, jewelry and home collections are its other product groups. The company carries out most of its production in craft workshops in France and sells its products mainly through stores it operates itself; deliberately keeping supply limited is part of the brand's positioning.
