What is Exelon Corporation (EXC)?
Exelon Corporation is an electricity and natural gas delivery company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The company was formed in 2000 through the merger of Unicom and PECO Energy. Its shares trade on Nasdaq under the ticker EXC; the company is included in the Nasdaq-100 and in the S&P 500.
In 2022 Exelon separated its power generation and trading business into a separate company called Constellation and focused on regulated delivery utilities. The group runs networks that carry electricity and natural gas through companies such as ComEd in northern Illinois, PECO around Philadelphia, BGE in Baltimore, and Pepco, Delmarva Power and Atlantic City Electric. These utilities operate under tariffs approved by state regulators.
Rising electricity demand, grid investment programs and tariff decisions are among the main topics that affect the results of such regulated companies. The Lzzo.com page for EXC presents the price in US dollars, its trading currency, together with a price chart and technical indicators.
