Edison International is a US electricity holding company headquartered in Rosemead, California. The company was formed in 1986, and its main subsidiary, Southern California Edison, is an electric utility whose roots go back to 1886. Its shares trade on the NYSE under the ticker EIX and are included in S&P's broad-based US stock index.
Almost all of the group's activity comes from Southern California Edison, which generates, transmits and distributes electricity in Southern California and a large part of Central California.
