Consus Energy Biomass & Solar

Consus Enerji Isletmeciligi ve Hizmetleri A.S. is the energy subsidiary of Global Yatirim Holding. Headquartered in Sisli, Istanbul, the company provides electricity generation and energy services; its shares have traded on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker CONSE since 2022.

The company has three business lines. In biomass, its plants in Aydin and Mardin generate electricity from agricultural and organic waste, and the biomass collection process is also managed in-house. The solar line comprises the plant in Mardin and auxiliary solar investments that support the biomass facilities. In the distributed energy line, cogeneration, trigeneration and solar systems are installed and operated at industrial customers' sites under a build-operate model, meeting the customer's electricity and heat needs on site. The biomass plants are covered by YEKDEM, Turkey's renewable energy support mechanism.

For power producers, results are shaped by the electricity market clearing price, the remaining term of YEKDEM tariffs, natural gas prices, the supply cost of biomass fuel and plant availability rates. The long-term structure of distributed energy contracts gives visibility on cash flows, while currency and interest rate conditions affect investment financing.
