About SpaceX
SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches rockets and spacecraft and operates the Starlink satellite internet network. Since February 2026 it also owns xAI, which forms its AI segment together with the X platform.
IPO notes
SpaceX filed its public Form S-1 on 20 May 2026 (sec.gov). The prospectus dated 11 June 2026 set the initial public offering price at $135.00 per share for 555,555,555 Class A shares, about $75.0 billion before expenses and before the underwriters' option (sec.gov). The shares were approved for listing on Nasdaq and Nasdaq Texas under the symbol SPCX and began trading on 12 June 2026 (nasdaq.com). The offering closed on 15 June 2026; with the underwriters' option exercised in full, 638,888,888 shares were sold in total, according to the quarterly report filed on 4 August 2026 (sec.gov).
