Product information
What is Polish Zloty / Turkish Lira (PLN/TRY)?
PLN/TRY shows the Turkish lira value of Poland's currency, the zloty. The zloty is managed by the National Bank of Poland (Narodowy Bank Polski, NBP). Poland has been a member of the European Union since 2004; however, it has not adopted the euro and operates a floating exchange rate regime.
Through manufacturing, automotive supply industries and service exports, the Polish economy is closely tied to the eurozone, Germany in particular. As a result, the zloty is sensitive to eurozone growth expectations and to risk appetite across Europe. NBP interest rate decisions under its inflation-targeting framework and the flow of European Union funds are also among the factors affecting the zloty's value.
The PLN/TRY rate is formed by the combination of the zloty's moves against the euro and the Turkish lira's general trend. The PLN/TRY value shown on Lzzo.com is an informational cross reference rate derived from market exchange rates, not a bank buy/sell price, and it should not be expected to match exchange office prices. Automotive products, household appliances and textiles stand out in trade between Turkey and Poland.
