Unitas

Unitas is a yield infrastructure protocol for on-chain finance built on a basket of several market-neutral (delta-neutral) strategies. The protocol issues USDu, an overcollateralized stablecoin with a soft peg to the US dollar, and sUSDu, its staked version whose value reflects the yield. According to the official documentation, the yield comes from trading fees earned by providing liquidity, funding rate payments in futures markets, and minting, redemption and liquidation fees; the price risk of spot positions is offset with derivatives trades.

UP is the native ecosystem and governance token of Unitas. According to the documentation, UP is planned to be used in governance processes, to be phased in gradually, on matters such as risk frameworks, supported strategies and integrations, incentive programs and product parameters. The documents state explicitly that UP does not represent any right to equity, debt, dividends or protocol income.

According to CoinGecko listings, UP has contracts on the BNB Chain, Ethereum and Solana networks; the smart contract platform label in the catalogue is a general placeholder. The value of the token depends on protocol usage, the performance of the strategies and the extent to which governance actually comes into effect.
