What is The Graph (GRT)?
The Graph is a decentralized indexing protocol that organizes raw data on blockchains so that applications can query it quickly. Developers publish subgraphs that define which smart contract events are processed and how; this data is queried through GraphQL-based APIs. The mainnet opened in late 2020, and the protocol operates through smart contracts on Ethereum and Arbitrum.
GRT provides economic coordination between the roles in the network. Indexers stake GRT to be able to provide service and receive a share of query fees and rewards; curators mark which subgraphs are worth indexing by depositing GRT; delegators delegate their GRT to indexers without running their own node. Indexers that serve incorrect data can have their stake slashed. The main GRT contract is on Ethereum, with bridged versions on networks such as Arbitrum, Polygon and Avalanche.
On Lzzo.com, the price of The Graph is shown by converting the Binance GRT/USDT value into US dollars using the Coinbase USDT/USD rate; it is for information only.
