What is Targon (SN4)?
Targon is a subnet on the Bittensor network that runs under the code SN4 and is operated by Manifold Labs. The subnet is designed as a compute marketplace that makes hardware capacity provided by GPU owners (miners) available for AI inference and similar workloads, while validators continuously check performance and security status.
A distinguishing feature of Targon is its focus on confidential computing: the Targon Virtual Machine aims to ensure that model weights run only in verified environments, using hardware-based secure environments such as Intel TDX and NVIDIA's confidential computing technologies. The SN4 token is one of the subnet tokens created specifically for each subnet under Bittensor's dynamic TAO model and is priced in pools paired with TAO.
