Product information
What is lium (SN51)?
lium is a GPU compute marketplace running on one of the subnets of Bittensor, a decentralized artificial intelligence network; its former name was Celium. SN51 is this subnet's alpha token on Bittensor; it does not sit on a separate blockchain but within the subnet economy of the Bittensor chain.
On the subnet, miners add their GPU hardware to the pool, validators test the specifications and performance of this hardware, and users rent GPUs by the hour for work such as artificial intelligence training or inference. In the dynamic TAO model of Bittensor, each subnet has its own alpha token that is traded in a pool paired with TAO; TAO staked to a subnet is converted into this token, and the emissions allocated to the subnet are shared among miners, validators and the subnet owner.
The SN51 price is sensitive to factors such as the subnet's share of Bittensor emissions, the value of TAO, genuine demand for the GPU rental service, the depth of liquidity in the pool and the concentration of the token among a few large holders. The price shown on Lzzo.com is DefiLlama's dollar-denominated reference; the chart is generated from this source's historical data.
