What is Sui?
Sui is a layer-one blockchain developed by Mysten Labs, with its mainnet opened in 2023. On the network, data is held as objects with defined ownership rather than as account balances; transactions that affect only objects belonging to a single owner can be processed in parallel without waiting for full consensus. Transactions that touch shared objects are ordered by a consensus protocol called Mysticeti. Smart contracts are written in a version of the Move programming language, which focuses on asset security, adapted for Sui.
The SUI token is the network's native unit. Transaction fees (gas) are paid in SUI, and a mechanism called the storage fund is used to cover the cost of storing data persistently on the network. Token holders take part in the delegated proof-of-stake model by delegating their SUI to validators and receive rewards; SUI is also used in on-chain governance processes. The ecosystem includes decentralized exchanges, games and storage projects such as Walrus.
On Lzzo.com, the Sui price is based on the Binance SUI/USDT value and presented in US dollars after conversion using Coinbase Exchange's USDT/USD rate; the value is a reference.
