Midas mTBILL

Midas mTBILL is a tokenized certificate issued by Germany-based Midas Software GmbH that references exchange-traded funds investing in short-term US Treasury bills. The token is not the underlying Treasury asset itself but the on-chain representation of a debt instrument linked to the performance of those assets, and yield is reflected through changes in the token price.

Midas's products are aimed at eligible investors outside the United States. On the primary market, minting and redemption are limited to users who pass identity verification and eligibility checks, while the token itself can be transferred on the secondary market. The company has announced that it has also opened these products to retail investors in Europe under a prospectus approved by the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority.

mTBILL is available on networks such as Ethereum, Base, Rootstock and Plume and can be used as collateral in DeFi protocols.
