Holo

Holo is a project that aims to provide distributed hosting infrastructure so that peer-to-peer applications written with the Holochain framework can reach ordinary internet users. Holochain is a user-centric application framework in which each user keeps their own chain of entries and no global consensus is required. HOT is the token of Holo, issued under the Ethereum token standard.

In the Holo model, computer owners provide hosting by renting their storage and processing capacity to Holochain applications; they can decide which applications to host and set their own prices, earning rewards in return. The project designed HoloFuel as the in-platform payment unit and had positioned HOT as a pre-token planned to be converted into this unit in the future. According to CoinGecko listings, HOT also has contract addresses on Base, Arbitrum and some other networks in addition to Ethereum.

The HOT price can be shaped by factors such as applications actually in use in the Holochain ecosystem, the pace at which the hosting network is rolled out, changes to the token conversion plan and the very large circulating supply. On the Holo page on Lzzo.com, the price from HOT/USDT trading on Binance is shown after conversion into dollars at Coinbase Exchange's USDT/USD rate; the chart follows this series.
