Decentraland

Decentraland is a browser-based virtual world where users can move around with their avatars, attend events and create content. Land in this world is represented by NFTs called LAND, and owners can build experiences such as stages, games or galleries on these parcels. MANA is the ecosystem token issued on Ethereum; a version bridged to Polygon is also used.

MANA is the means of payment for buying and selling LAND, avatar clothing (wearables), usernames and other digital items on the Decentraland marketplace. The platform is governed by Decentraland DAO: holders of MANA, LAND and names have voting power, and proposals on matters such as content policies, grant programs and smart contract upgrades are put to a vote. Part of the fees charged on marketplace transactions goes to the DAO treasury.

The MANA price can be affected by user interest in the virtual world, the general trend in metaverse-themed projects, activity in the NFT market and DAO decisions. The Decentraland chart on Lzzo.com shows the series obtained by converting the MANA/USDT price on Binance into dollars at the Coinbase Exchange USDT/USD rate.
