Prologis, Inc. is a real estate investment trust headquartered in San Francisco, California. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker PLD, and it is a member of the S&P 500 index. The present structure took shape in 2011 through the merger of ProLogis and AMB Property.
The company owns warehouses and distribution centers built for logistics use and leases them to customers across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Tenants include e-commerce companies, retailers, manufacturers and logistics firms. Properties are not held only on its own balance sheet; the company also manages assets through joint ventures and funds set up with institutional investors. In addition it runs a service line called Prologis Essentials, which offers solar power, charging infrastructure and operational services to its buildings.
