Hannover Rück SE is a reinsurance company headquartered in Hannover, Germany, and was founded in 1966. It is also known internationally as Hannover Re. Its shares trade on the Xetra platform in Frankfurt under the ticker HNR1, and it is one of the companies in the DAX 40, the main index of the Frankfurt stock exchange. The majority of the company's shares belong to the insurance group Talanx.
