What is Franklin Templeton Inc. (BEN)?
Franklin Templeton, Inc. is an asset management company headquartered in San Mateo, California, and its roots go back to 1947. From August 2026 the company stopped using the name Franklin Resources and began using Franklin Templeton; this is a name change only and the ticker continues as BEN on the NYSE. The shares are among the components of the S&P 500.
The company manages investment funds, separately managed portfolios and alternative investment products for individual and institutional investors. Alongside the Franklin and Templeton brands, specialist units such as the investment managers that came from Legg Mason, Clarion Partners in real estate, Benefit Street Partners in private credit and Lexington Partners in secondary private equity work under the group. Digital asset products are also offered.
Because a large share of income comes from fees tied to assets under management, results are followed together with market levels and the assets flowing into or out of funds. On the BEN page at Lzzo.com, the share price is shown in US dollars, the currency it trades in, alongside a historical price chart and technical indicators.
