What is Danaher Corporation (DHR)?
Danaher Corporation is a US science and technology company based in Washington, D.C. Its shares trade on the NYSE under the ticker DHR. The company has a structure that houses many brands and is managed with a continuous improvement approach it calls the Danaher Business System.
Its operations are grouped into three segments. The Biotechnology segment offers filtration, chromatography and cell culture products used in the production of biologic drugs under the Cytiva and Pall brands. The Life Sciences segment covers research tools such as SCIEX mass spectrometers, Leica Microsystems microscopes, IDT genomics products and Abcam antibodies. The Diagnostics segment supplies hospitals and laboratories with testing systems through Beckman Coulter, Cepheid, Radiometer and Leica Biosystems. The company spun off its water quality and product identification businesses as Veralto in 2023.
