Block, Inc. is a US financial technology company that provides payment and financial services to businesses and individuals. The company was previously named Square; its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and its ticker was changed from SQ to XYZ in January 2025.

Its operations are shaped around two main ecosystems. Square provides businesses of different sizes, from restaurants to retailers, with tools such as card readers, point-of-sale software, online payments, payroll and business loans. Cash App is a mobile app that lets individuals send money to each other, use a debit card, deposit their paychecks and make bitcoin transactions. The installment shopping service Afterpay is integrated into both ecosystems. The group also houses the music streaming service TIDAL, Bitkey, a self-custody bitcoin wallet, and Proto, which develops bitcoin mining hardware.
