Amazon.com xStock

Amazon.com xStock (AMZNx) is an xStocks product that tracks the AMZN shares on Nasdaq of Amazon.com, Inc., which provides e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming and various consumer services. The product is issued as a tracker certificate by Backed Assets (JE) Limited, registered in Jersey; the certificate circulates as a token on blockchain networks chosen by the issuer.

According to the xStocks asset entry, minting and redemption through the issuer take place with stablecoins such as USDC or USDT, depending on the network, and within trading hours set by the issuer; on the secondary market the token can change hands through exchanges and decentralized pools. Holding AMZNx does not make someone an Amazon shareholder: general meeting and voting rights do not come with the token, and the economic exposure rests on the issuer's certificate obligation. Backed does not sell its tokens to US persons or market them in prohibited jurisdictions; in other countries, too, access is subject to the eligibility checks of the intermediary platform.
