Gate GUSD

The GUSD on this page is a yield certificate pegged to the US dollar and offered on the platform of the Gate cryptocurrency exchange. It should not be confused with Gemini Dollar, which uses the same abbreviation: Gemini Dollar is a separate stablecoin issued by Gemini on Ethereum, whereas the listing here points to Gate as the official site and contains no blockchain contract address. Gate introduced this product in August 2025.

Users mint GUSD by depositing USDT or USDC on Gate; on redemption, GUSD is converted back one-to-one into USDT or USDC after redemption fees are deducted. The product's yield comes from Gate ecosystem income, real-world assets such as tokenized US Treasury bills and stablecoin-based yield instruments, and the rate is adjusted periodically according to the performance of these sources. GUSD can be bought and sold on the platform and used as collateral; however, it does not give its holder ownership rights over the underlying assets and merely represents the value of the investment.

As an in-platform product, the value of GUSD depends on the issuing exchange's reserve disclosures, redemption terms, the performance of the yield sources, and the operational and regulatory risks of Gate.
