What is deBridge (DBR)?
deBridge is an interoperability protocol that moves assets and messages between different blockchains. The product users encounter most often is the deBridge Liquidity Network (DLN), a system that executes cross-chain swaps through intent-based orders. DBR is the governance token issued on Solana.
In DLN, the user creates an order by locking their asset on the source chain, and market makers using their own liquidity fill this order on the destination chain. After deBridge's validator network confirms that the transaction has been completed, the assets on the source chain are released to the party that filled the order. This model aims to remove the need to park funds in large liquidity pools, as classic bridges do. DBR is used in governance of protocol decisions, in validators' participation in network security and in fee mechanisms.
The DBR price can be influenced by cross-chain transaction volume, protocol fee income, bridge security incidents, rival interoperability solutions and token unlocks. The deBridge page on Lzzo.com shows DefiLlama's US dollar reference price and a chart drawn from this source's historical data.
