What is Ondo US Dollar Yield (USDY)?
Ondo US Dollar Yield is a tokenized debt note issued in the Ondo Finance ecosystem and secured by short-term US Treasury bills and bank demand deposits. Although some data providers list USDY in the dollar-based stablecoin category, it differs from a classic payment stablecoin: interest earned from the underlying assets is passed on to token holders as yield.
In standard USDY, yield is added to the token's price, so the token's value is designed to rise above one dollar over time. There is also a separate version called rUSDY that keeps the price around one dollar and adds yield to the number of tokens instead. The product is not offered to US persons; issuance and redemption require identity verification, and a set waiting period applies after purchase.
USDY is available as a token on many networks, chiefly Ethereum and Solana. The value design linked to the underlying assets is not a commitment, and the secondary market price can differ. The USDY price on Lzzo.com is taken from DefiLlama's US dollar reference data and is for information only.
