Microsoft xStock

Microsoft xStock (MSFTx) is an xStocks token linked to the MSFT shares on Nasdaq of Microsoft Corporation, which operates in software, cloud computing, gaming and hardware. The issuer, Backed Assets (JE) Limited, structures the product as a certificate that tracks the price of the underlying share; tokenization is carried out by Backed Finance AG.

In this structure, the token holder's legal counterparty is the issuer of the certificate, not Microsoft. According to the product page, no management fee is charged at present, although a limited annual fee may be introduced in the future; issuance and redemption fees may apply when entering and exiting the investment. The token is available on several networks, mainly Ethereum and Solana. MSFTx is not sold to US persons, is not marketed in prohibited jurisdictions and does not pass ownership rights such as voting to its holder.
