What is VeThor (VTHO)?
VeThor plays the role of the 'energy' or gas token in VeChain's dual-token model. The fees required for transfers and smart contract operations on the VeChainThor network are paid in VTHO. Part of the fees paid is burned and removed from circulation.
VTHO is generated through a mechanism linked to VET, the network's value token; as a result, VTHO supply is directly related to the distribution of VET and to the network's rules. The model aims to separate the fee token from the network's main asset so that businesses can plan transaction costs more predictably. Growing network usage affects demand for VTHO, while new generation affects supply; the balance between the two plays a role in how the token is valued in the market. Through later protocol upgrades, VeChain has tied the VTHO generation rules more closely to staking and delegation mechanisms. For this reason, the network's official documentation should be consulted for the current VTHO generation conditions.
On Lzzo.com, the VeThor price is shown by converting the Binance VTHO/USDT pair to US dollars using Coinbase Exchange's USDT/USD observation; it is for information only.
