## What is ASIA Holdings CO., Ltd. (002030.KS)?

Asia Holdings (officially ASIA Holdings Co., Ltd.) is a South Korean holding company headquartered in Seoul's Gangnam District. According to its annual report, it was founded in April 1957 to make and sell cement, and its shares began trading on the Korea Exchange in June 1974. In a split in October 2013, the continuing company changed its name from Asia Cement to Asia Holdings, while the manufacturing arm moved to a newly formed Asia Cement. The stock code is 002030.

The company itself provides head office and management consulting services, and production and trade are carried out through subsidiaries. In cement they include Asia Cement, Halla Cement and ready-mix concrete firms; in paper, Asia Paper, which makes base paper and boxes for corrugated packaging, and other firms; and under other, venture capital, farming, real estate rental and the operation of the Gyeongju World amusement park. The report presents the business in four segments: holding, cement, paper and other.
